Clippers & Blade Services

Stockshop customers experience first class service and support throughout the life of their Wolseley clippers. Our clippers are hand assembled and individually tested, making them very reliable. Our UK based service department offers practical advice and fast turnaround on blade sharpening and clipper servicing

Services We Offer:

  • Clipper servicing & repairs - Makes include: Lister, Heinegar and Hauptner
  • Blade Sharpening for all blades
  • Fencing servicing and repair - Please note, do not send the earth stake back, just send the fencing unit
  • De-Horner servicing and repair

Please note that not all clippers may be serviced and repaired due to their age or availability of parts. We do not stock the parts for discontinued models of clippers

How To Send Your Clippers/Blades:

Most of our customers post their items into us, if you wish to do so we ask that you include a covering letter stating:

  • Your Name
  • Your best contact number
  • The address you would like your clipper/blades returned to
  • Whether you would like a quote before the work is carried out
  • The average age of the clipper (N/A for blades)
  • A brief description of any problems that you may have been experiencing, ie rattling noises, getting too hot
  • Whether you would like Gold Service (see below for more details)

When posting clippers please make sure they are well wrapped and protected and the blades are separate from the machine, as this rapidly reduces the risk of damage during transit. It is not necessary to send the clipper in its original case and this incurs greater delivery costs. We strongly advise all our customers who are posting in their items, to send via recorded post or courier as Stockshop cannot be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in the incoming post.

The cost of service for Wolseley clippers is £28.00 + VAT +  Parts + P&P, and a non Wolseley clipper service is £40.00 + VAT + Parts + P&P


We accept payment via Cheque, Card, BACS or Cash on collection. If you know the amount required then you can enclose a cheque when you send your goods into us, please make cheques payable to “Stockshop Country Limited”. If you do not know the total value then we will contact you when your clippers are ready and can take payment over the phone. If you are collecting your clippers/blades we do accept cash on collection. Please do not  send us cash in the post.

  • From 1st August 2017 we will be charging a non-returnable payment of £15 per clipper in advance of undertaking an inspection of your clippers and where appropriate, providing a diagnosis of what work is required.
  • If you choose to accept the estimate then the £15.00 prepayment will be deducted from the final balance.
  • £15 will be charged for all estimates not accepted and therefore your payment of £15 will not be refunded.
  • All clippers that are not collected within 3 months of repair/service/estimate will be disposed of.


We operate on a first come first served basis. No clipper or blades has priority over others, unless they are under warranty or instructed for gold service. We average a 3 working day turnaround for blade sharpening and a 5-7 working days for servicing. The turnaround time is from when we receive your item, so please allow time for your item to reach us. Also, please note these times are not a guarantee and our turnaround times do increase during our busier months (Late Sept – Early Feb) so please send in your item with plenty of time to spare to avoid disappointment.

If your clipper is faulty and under warranty then we will get it fixed and returned to you within 48 hours (subject to parts availability).

Gold Service:

Gold service is something we offer to those of you on a tight schedule. It is a service that aims to have your clippers or blades done and sent back to you within 24 hours of arrival. The costs for this are as follows:

  • Clipper Servicing - £10.00 (per service) + VAT
  • Blade Sharpening - £5.00 (per set) + VAT

Please note these costs are an addition to our normal rates. If you wish to have your item Gold Serviced, please state this very clearly on your covering letter.
